•    Passenger numbers: 908,300, +4.3% year-on-year;
•    Short/medium-haul: 727,100, +6.7%;
•    Long-haul: 92,000, -9.1%;
•    Charter: 89,300, +0.7%;


•    Passenger load factor: 76.2%, +1.8 ppts;
•    Short/medium-haul: 69.0%, +1.3 ppts;
•    Long-haul: 83.7%, +3.4%;
•    Charter: 81.6%, +3.2 ppts;


For four months ended 30-Apr-08:

•    Passenger numbers: 3.2 million, +2.9%;
•    Short/medium-haul: 2.6 million, +7.3%;
•    Long-haul: 363,900, -20.8%;
•    Charter: 252,600, +3.9%;

•    Passenger load factor: 73.4%, -0.9 ppts;
•    Short/medium-haul: 65.8%, +1.7 ppts;
•    Long-haul: 80.8%, -0.9 ppts;
•    Charter: 79.7%, +1.7 ppts.


Austrian Airlines: “We had a good month in April, with load factor increases in all segments, and are still very much on course to reach our targets in the short- and medium-haul segment, especially in our core markets… introducing our new Premium Service this Summer and incorporating new routes to Riyadh and Jeddah into the schedule will enable us to position ourselves even more strongly in the growth markets of the Middle East,” Alfred Ötsch, CEO.
