Ryanair condemns CIE for train services on Cork-Dublin route

Tags :UK, Ryanair

Ryanair has condemned the latest train driver strike, which have again disrupted the journeys of thousands of rail passengers on CIE’s Corkâ€Dublin route. According to Ryanair, this is yet another example of the contempt which the public sector unions have for consumers, and why passengers can’t trust CIE’s train services.

Ryanair stated that it offers five daily flights on the Cork–Dublin route. These flights take 35 minutes on new jet aircraft, and at prices which are less than half the cost of CIE’s high fares. To highlight the advantages of Ryanair’s five daily flights on the Cork-Dublin route, the airline has released 10,000 seats for EUR25 one way, less than half of CIE’s one way fare of EUR71.20 – for travel in June.
