Malév, the Hungarian national airline, resumed scheduled flights between Toronto and Budapest on 26 May. The direct Toronto-Budapest route is covered by two-class, 229-seat Boeing 767-300ER type aircraft operating five times a week.
Malév suspended this flight during the low traffic Winter season; however, in the Summer, the Toronto route operates with an average load factor of 90%. The timetable is closely integrated into Malév's regional flights, providing transit passengers with connections through Budapest to Southeast European destinations on the Malév network.
