Aeroflot CEO doubts Alitalia rescue package still possible
(XFN Asia) Aeroflot, which has expressed interest in investing in Alitalia, believes a rescue package for the Italian flag carrier is now unlikely to materialise. The Russian airline's CEO, Valery Okulov, said, A year ago, stabilising the company was still an option. We suspect that is no longer the case.”

Earlier, Italy's Economy Minister, Giulio Tremonti, stated that the only solution to the problems Alitalia is experiencing is to find a new controlling shareholder. The government currently holds 49.9 percent of the airline.
