Austrian Airlines files lawsuit for submission of contractual guarantees

Despite these efforts, Sheikh Al Jaber has not so far been prepared to discuss any solution other than termination of the contract subject to a mutual waiver of claims. Austrian has now filed lawsuit claiming the contractually agreed guarantees in order to safeguard legal deadlines.
 
These legal steps serve to safeguard the claims of the company. Irrespective of this, Austrian Airlines remains prepared to take part in serious negotiations with respect to a solution.
 
The Commercial Register Judge responsible has now entered the resolution for the capital increase of the Annual General Meeting of 07-May-08 in the Commercial Register. Austrian Airlines is thereby continuing to fulfil its contractual obligations. The applications for interruption of the entry of the resolution for the capital increase contained in the legal challenges were rejected by the Commercial Register Judge.
