On 23-Jul-08 in the presence of Governor of Saint-Petersburg Valentina Matvienko Transaero Airlines and Gazprom Neft (both registered in Saint-Petersburg) concluded an agreement on partnership.
The agreement was signed by Transaero Airlines General Director Olga Pleshakova and Gazprom Neft General Director Alexander Dyukov.
The agreement is aimed at increasing efficiency and providing stability in jet fuel supply to the carrier in Saint-Petersburg and other regions of the Russian Federation. It will also help the partners to introduce modern market and financial tools into their joint business activities, develop necessary infrastructure and secure environmental protection.
The partnership guarantees prompt and efficient jet fuel supply to Transaero Airlines at Russian airports on favourable terms. Working out of jet fuel price hedging schemes is among the most important aspects of the agreement.
Transaero in its turn will offer special fares for employees of Gazprom Neft flying with the airline.
The companies intend to diversify and coordinate their activities in pricing policy as well as technological, investment, financial and information spheres.
Transaero Airlines and Gazprom Neft are confident that the agreement contributes in aviation industry development, modernization of infrastructure and their competitive growth.
