Alitalia's minority shareholders have reportedly threatened legal action unless the rescue package proposed by adviser, Intesa Sanpaolo, offers them compensation.

The carrier’s minority shareholders and bondholders are seeking shares, warrants or part of a proposed capital increase reserved for them. Grob Aerospace filed for insolvency on 18-Aug-08, due to recent delays in its SPn midsized jet programme, resulting in its current loan provider electing to discontinue support. Meanwhile, CEO & President of Alpha Flying’s PlaneSense fractional ownership programme, George Antoniadis, stated the company has no plans to cancel its order for 25 SPns, but would redeploy resources, including pilots, to its Pilatus PC-12 programme, if there were further delays.
