Ryanair announced the launch of the guaranteed lowest fares in Europe. Ryanair now operates 771 routes across Europe offering the best route network and the guaranteed lowest fares with no fuel surcharges.
At the same time thousands of consumers face increased costs when travelling on high fare airlines or find themselves stranded after booking with flaky airlines, Ryanair remains the only European airline to guarantee the lowest fares on every route and no fuel surcharges as well. Speaking in London today, Ryanair’s CFO & Deputy CEO Howard Millar said: “There will be more airline bankruptcies in the coming weeks following the closure of Zoom, Futura, XL Airways and the bankruptcy of Alitalia. Many unviable loss making European airlines will cease trading this Winter because of unsustainable losses and insufficient cash reserves. Ryanair recommends that any passengers making bookings this Winter, should book with Ryanair, which has over €2 billion in cash. We call on Europe’s high fare airlines including BA, Air France and Lufthansa to reduce their unjustified fuel surcharges to reflect the recent 30% drop in oil prices. “Nobody can match Ryanair’s low fares and we strongly advise all passengers to book these 2M free seats directly on www.Ryanair.com and avoid screenscraper, ticket tout websites who add on hidden mark up of between 200% - 300% on top of Ryanair’s ticket prices”.
