Flybe announced (07-Oct-08) the early release of a selection of routes to be featured in its 2009 Summer Schedule. It includes the launch of two new routes from Southampto with 376 flights a week to London Gatwick from seven UK regional airports.

This selection of Flybe’s new Summer routes available for booking at www.flybe.com, for travel between 29-Mar-09 and 07-Sep-09, include:

    * Birmingham to Dubrovnik (Sundays) and Split (Saturdays) from May 3rd
    * Exeter to Alicante, Dubrovnik, Faro, Malaga and Palma de Mallorca
    * London Gatwick: Aberdeen, Belfast, Guernsey, Inverness, Isle of Man, Jersey and Newcastle
    * Southampton to Alicante, Dubrovnik, Faro, Malaga, Palma de Mallorca and Split

This early selection includes two new routes from Southampton to the Croatian cities of Dubrovnik and Split, as well as the re-introduction of Flybe’s Exeter to Dubrovnik service.

Mike Rutter, Flybe’s Chief Commercial Officer, comments: “It’s never too early to think about next summer!  Our Summer Sun destinations see us continuing to listen to our customers by providing them with the convenience and flexibility of regional travel to an exciting range of existing as well as fast emerging sea and sun destinations in Europe.

“Over the last twelve months we have continued to grow and develop the airline to provide the most cost-effective, efficient and flexible service for passengers and our offering to London Gatwick is further proof of that increased offering. Our new Summer Sun Schedule also boosts the large selection of connecting flights that are now available through Flybe Connections. This is a convenient, new, one-stop, thru-booking service that incorporates those routes offered by our new franchise partner, Loganair.”

Mr Rutter added: “We anticipate our new Summer Sun routes will be very popular with passengers looking for the best deal possible for their holidays next year. We would strongly advise them to book early and take advantage of the lowest possible fares.”
