Tags :Continental Europe, Lufthansa In the first nine months of 2008 the Lufthansa Group increased revenue to EUR 18.6billion (+13.6%) and generated an operating profit of EUR 984 million. Net profit for the period came to EUR 551million. Last year's figure of EUR 1.6 billion was marked by book gains from portfolio activities and a one-off tax effect.
The Executive Board has adjusted the profit expectations to the economic slow down and the ongoing uncertainties regarding the implications of the financial market crisis. It now expects an operating profit of around EUR 1.1billion for the full year 2008.
