Finnair increases flights to Hong Kong and Bangkok

Petteri Kostermaa, Finnair's Vice President Route Strategy and Traffic Planning said, "The twice-daily service on the Bangkok route, which is particularly important for Finns, reflects the popularity of travel to Thailand."

In Finland, capacity to Lapland is being increased for the winter, and additional flights will be arranged, if necessary. In the period between Christmas and Twelfth Night, however, services will be reduced across the board. On Christmas Eve only one Finnair long-haul flight - to Bangkok - will depart from Helsinki-Vantaa.

Seoul, which opened in June, and Ekaterinburg, which began in September, appear on the winter timetable for the first time. The arrival of the winter timetable, however, sees the removal of Guangzhou and Gdansk from the route selection.
