Air Berlin is extending its range of long-haul flights from Dusseldorf to North America. The airline will again be operating daily flights to New York, as well as three flights a week to Los Angeles during the summer schedule 2009. Air Berlin had temporarily suspended these connections in its winter timetable.

There will be five flights a week to Miami during the summer. Air Berlin passengers will now be able to take off for Fort Meyers on four days a week instead of three. As in the recent summer schedule, Air Berlin will again be offering three weekly non-stop flights from Dusseldorf to Vancouver. Airbus A330s with a capacity of 303 seats, 24 of them in Business Class, are used on the North American routes.
