The many countries from around the world that have airplanes with maintenance performed by VEM Maintenance and Engineering have now been joined by Russia and, in particular, Siberia. Last September, VEM delivered the B767 to AWAS, the former Pluna (CX-PUB), which will by operated by Siberia Airlines.
The aircraft went through a C-Check, which included structural repairs and interior improvements. Several electrical and electronic components were also repaired in VEM’s workshops in Porto Alegre, where the C-Check was performed. The test flight was done by the Siberia Airlines team and no problems were encountered, thus ensuring the quality of the services carried out.
