Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) will launch non-stop route from Stockholm-Arlanda starting on 02-Apr-09. SAS Sweden will fly the Stockholm-Malta route twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays during the period 02-Apr to 08-Nov. It will use Boeing 737-800 aircraft seating 183 passengers in two classes, economy and economy extra.

Fares will start from SEK 700 for a single journey. Josef Formosa Gauci, CEO of the Malta Tourism Authority said, “We are very pleased to welcome SAS to Malta. This non-stop route will do a lot to help increase the number of Scandinavian visitors to our islands, which in turn benefits the hospitality industry in Malta.”

Tobias Jonsson, Acting Commercial Director of SAS Sweden said, “During the spring and autumn, the timetable is outstanding for a mini-week in Malta from Sunday to Thursday. During the summer, the timetable is just as good for the weekend traveller and for those who wish to stay longer. On SAS you travel on your own terms, and on one of Europe’s most punctual airlines.”
