Austrian Airlines to expand capacity on Vienna-Dubai services

Austrian Airlines is expanding its flight schedule from Vienna to Dubai. From 01â€Mar-09, the airline will be using a Boeing 767 with 235 seats on more than half its flights to the Emirate. Until now, Dubai has been connected to the company’s Vienna hub by medium-haul aircraft.

The new step represents a significant expansion – almost 20% in seating capacity. Viewed in terms of Business Class capacity alone, the expansion in capacity is greater still: the change means Austrian Airlines will now offer up to 120 Business Class seats a day on the route between Vienna and Dubai.

To coincide with the introduction onto the market of this new capacity, Austrian Airlines is offering a special price for the nonstop Vienna-Dubai-Vienna service: passengers taking a return flight from Vienna to Dubai on the Boeing 767 between 01-Mar-09 and 30-Jun-09 will pay EUR 499 (return flight, including all taxes and charges).
