SAS Group signs air travel agreement with StatoilHydro

The SAS Group has signed (19-Jan-09) an agreement with StatoilHydro regarding air travel valued at almost NOK3 billion. The agreement is for three years with the option of a two-year extension.

 

The agreement with the SAS Group includes SAS and Wideroe and its Star Alliance partners. It applies to StatoilHydro's global operations and is valued at more than NOK 500 million annually, or nearly NOK 3 billion over five years. This is the largest air-travel agreement ever signed in Norway.

SAS and Wideroe will handle StatoilHydro's domestic travel through their major route network in Norway comprising 3,000 domestic departures weekly.

StatoilHydro has about 29,500 employees in 40 countries and operates in 39 oil and gas fields. With SAS and Star Alliance, StatoilHydro employees can choose between more than 16,000 daily departures to 159 countries.
