Finnair will transfer Helsinki flights at London Heathrow Airport from Terminal 1 to Terminal 3 on 27-Jan-09. Check-in for Finnair flights will take place in zone G of Terminal 3.

Markku Remes, responsible for developing passenger experience on Finnair flights said, "Flights operated by oneworld alliance airlines will now operate more closely, which especially means improved service for connecting passengers. In addition, it will now be possible for the first time to use Finnair's own check-in system at London airport."

Four other oneworld alliance airlines - American Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Japan Airlines and Royal Jordanian are already based at Heathrow's Terminal 3.

On 25-Feb-09, British Airways and Iberia will move Helsinki flights to Terminal 3. Qantas will also transfer to Terminal 3 later this year.

Eight oneworld companies will now concentrate their operations in two terminals, as opposed to the four from which they have previously operated.
