Air France-KLM 3Q08 operating result likely to be negative

Air France-KLM specified (21-Jan-09) that its operating result for the 3Q08 (Oct-08 to Dec-08) is likely to be negative to the tune of EUR200 million. For the full year to 31-Mar-09, the group is not in a position at this stage to make any pronouncement on the operating income forecasts circulating in the market.
However, its objective is to generate a positive operating result, the level of which will depend on how the economic situation evolves, particularly in the cargo business which is facing a tough operating environment as reflected in recent monthly traffic statistics.
