Hawaiian Airlines announced (02-Feb-09) that it has signed interline e-ticketing agreements with Air France and Virgin Blue of Australia. Customers of Air France and Virgin Blue with flight connections on Hawaiian can buy a single e-ticket, check in once at the originating departure airport, receive boarding passes at the departure gate of any connecting transpacific or interisland flight, and pick up their luggage at the final destination.
Rick Peterson, Hawaiian’s vice president of marketing and sales said, “As Hawaiian continues to reach out to more international travelers, these agreements will make the journey to Hawaii much easier for our customers.”
Interline e-tickets for mutual customers of Hawaiian and Air France or Virgin Blue are now being issued through their respective reservation centers, at airport and ticket offices, and via travel agencies.
Hawaiian has secured interline e-ticketing agreements with most major airlines providing connections for domestic and international travelers, including American, United, Northwest, Alaska, US Airways, Delta, Continental, British Airways, Japan Airlines, and China Airlines.
