Tags :UK, Ryanair, DAA The Dublin Airport Authority (DAA) is surprised by Ryanair’s suggestion that the recent fall in passenger traffic at Dublin Airport is due to airport charges. Dublin Airport stated it has lowest passenger charge of any major airport in Europe and the recent fall in traffic is directly related to the global economic downturn.
During 2008, Dublin Airport performed better than the European average, as passenger numbers increased by 1% to 23.5 million. Overall European passenger numbers fell by 2.7% during 2008, according to new data from IATA, the international air transport association.
