Czech Airlines increases flights to Canada for Summer
In summer, Czech Airlines will enhance its offering of seasonal flights to Toronto, Canada. Compared to last year, the number of flights in the main summer season will increase from three to four weekly. Also the period for which Czech Airlines will provide flights to Canada will be longer.

The first flight will take off in early May and the last in mid-October. Overall, Czech Airlines is planning to operate 156 flights between Prague and Toronto, which constitutes a 44 percent year-on-year increase.

The new model of operating to North America, launched last year, when Czech Airlines only focused on seasonal flights to Toronto, has increased profitability and the seat-load factor. Last year, when the Airline operated three weekly flights between June and mid-October, more than 19,000 passengers flew with Czech Airlines between Prague and Toronto, with the seat-load factor being at 85 percent. Starting this summer, therefore, Czech Airlines will introduce a fourth weekly frequency. The number of flights during the entire summer season will thus increase to 156. Czech Airlines expects that nearly 30,000 passengers could use the service this summer.

The Flight Schedule during the High Summer Season

In addition to Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, the route will also be operated on Thursdays during the high season. From Prague, the Airbus A310 aircraft for 209 passengers will take of at 11:15 a.m., landing in Canada after a more than nine-hour flight at 2:30 p.m. local time. The aircraft will set out on the homeward journey at 4:05 p.m. local time, landing in Prague after eight hours in the air, at 6:15 a.m. the next day.
