Oman Air will fly to four more destinations in Europe and Asia in 2009. Oman Air’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Peter Hill said “August marks the commencement of our wide body fleet acquisition plan when we take delivery of the first of seven brand new Airbus A330 aircraft. We will operate nonstop flights from our base in Muscat to Frankfurt and Paris in the west and eastbound to Colombo and Male.

With the introduction of these services we will be providing a massive increase in capacity from Europe to Oman, designed to boost the Country’s rapidly growing appeal to the discerning traveler.

This year Oman Air will take delivery of two Airbus A330-200 aircraft in a two-class Business and Economy layout, and two Airbus A330-300 aircraft featuring First, Business and Economy classes”.

Vice President-Commercial, Barry Brown commented, “we will commence flights to Frankfurt on 17-Sep initially with 6 services per week and we will inaugurate services to Paris on 11-Oct with 4 flights per week. Sri Lanka and The Maldives will commence on 12-Oct with 4 weekly services offering convenient connections to not only Paris and Frankfurt but also our daily London Heathrow flights."
