Aeroflot confirms change in board of directors

Aeroflot confirms (27-Mar-09) that its board of directors has taken the decision to replace Mr Valery Okulov with Mr Vitaly Savelyev, who will take up the position of General Director (CEO) after 10-Apr-09.
Mr Valery Okulov, who served in the position of Aeroflot’s CEO for the last 12 years, will take the position of the Deputy Minister of Transport of The Russian Federation, being in charge of civil aviation.
Mr Vitaly Savelyev, born in 1954, is currently a member of the board of Sistema (SSAq.L) the financial industrial group and has also served as Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade from 2004 to 2007. He has vast experience in banking and telecommunications sectors.
