Air France, in co-operation with subsidiaries CityJet and VLM Airlines, is to revise its service between London City and Strasbourg to improve departure times for customers. Responding to customer demand, the service will provide more convenient departures at the beginning and end of each working day, starting from 30-Mar, improving travel options between the two cities.
The newly-timed service, which will be operated by partner VLM Airlines as a codeshare service, will offer a twice-daily operation every weekday and daily flights on Saturdays and Sundays.
General Manager UK & Ireland for Air France-KLM, Christine Ourmieres, says: “The improvement to flight times on our London City-Strasbourg service is particularly designed to meet the needs of the business travellers. This new schedule will allow customers to get a full business day in either city without the need for an overnight stay – exactly what the business community needs.”
The route will be operated by a Fokker 50 aircraft of VLM Airlines, a member of the Air France-KLM Group, offering greater comfort with a choice of Business Class and Economy Class services. The aircraft replaces a smaller Dornier aircraft previously operated on the route by CityJet, a fellow Air France-KLM Group carrier. The Fokker 50 provides customers with a bigger cabin, leather seats and ample legroom in both classes.
Flights from London City depart at 8.10am, arriving at Strasbourg International Airport at 11.05am, and a 5.55pm London take-off, arriving at 8.50pm, every weekday and also on Sundays. The Saturday service will depart from London City at 9.45am, arriving at 12.40pm
Departures from Strasbourg International Airport will leave at 8.15am, arriving in London City Airport at 9.15am on weekdays and Saturdays, with a second flight leaving at 5.15pm, arriving in London at 6.15pm on weekdays and Sundays.
