Flybe, Europe's regional airline, will start operating its 2009 Summer schedule on 29-Mar-09 which sees the airline flying 187 summer routes over the coming summer season that includes 12 new routes. To celebrate its new programme taking to the skies, Flybe is offering discounts of up to 50% on some of its best UK and European destinations on selected flights booked this weekend.

Bookings made through April are also able to take advantage of Flybe's popular free Redundancy Cover Insurance offer

Many of Flybe's summer routes from its Cardiff base have been scheduled to attract those looking for short and weekend breaks and passengers remain committed to enjoying a summer break by seeking out the most affordable travel bargains despite the challenging economic times.

An ongoing promotion of special interest to families travelling this summer to Paris is Flybe's free one-day Hopper Ticket to Disneyland® Paris being offered with every online flight booking made before June 26th 2009 on any of its seven routes into Paris Charles de Gaulle.

Mike Rutter, Chief Commercial Officer, Flybe comments: "Flybe recognises that times are tough for travel planning this year with families especially having to keep a close eye on their holiday budgets.

"Due to the weak pound, people are reassessing their holiday habits this year and many more of us are looking closer to home for our annual getaway. With the extensive 2009 summer programme we're offering travellers from Cardiff an exciting range of flights to a variety of destinations ideal for both business and leisure travellers.
