Air Berlin appoints Christoph Debus to join Board of Executive Directors

Christoph Debus, 38 years old, will be joining the Board of Executive Directors of Air Berlin PLC on 01-Jun-09. He will take over responsibility for sales, network and IT. CEO of Air Berlin PLC, Joachim Hunold, said, We are pleased to have gained a proven aviation expert in Christoph Debus.”



Previously Debus had been Managing Director at another airline, Condor, where he was responsible for IT, controlling, personnel, bookkeeping, accounting and finance for four years. His position at Condor also meant that he was a member of the Airline Executive Board of Thomas Cook Group plc. From Mar-1998 to the end of 2004 Debus, father of two sons, was employed by Roland Berger Management Consultants. As a partner at Roland Berger, his remit included industry, aviation and tourism, as well as the car industry. Debus studied industrial engineering at TU Darmstadt and the Ecole Centrale de Lyon.
