Air Astana, Almaty to Baku
Air Astana, the flag carrier of the Republic of Kazakhstan, has launched a new service linking Almaty to Baku, the capital of neighbouring Azerbaijan. Flights commenced on (29-March-09), with twice weekly services now operating on Wednesdays and Sundays. The flight time between Almaty and Baku is three hours.

 

Peter Foster, President of Air Astana stated.
“Strong economic relations already exist between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, with Air Astana pleased to launch the Almaty - Baku service to further boost business and leisure travel between the two countries. Passengers can enjoy the safe, reliable service of our new A320 aircraft on the route, which offer the very highest standards of cabin comfort and facilities,” Air Astana commenced regular flight operations in May 2002 and currently operates a network that serves 22 domestic and 20 international destinations from its hubs in Almaty, Astana and Atyrau.
 
 Air Astana is a full member of the International Air Transport Association.
