Italian charter airline Livingston Energy Flight has engaged Lufthansa Technik to overhaul its long-haul Airbus A330 fleet. The comprehensive C-checks will be carried out between May and September in Lufthansa Technik Malta’s recently opened new hangar complex. This makes Livingston the second launch customer after Lufthansa for Lufthansa Technik’s new, state-of-the-art European over-haul base for Airbus long-haul aircraft.
Commenting on the occasion of signing the contract in Malta, Chief Executive Officer of Livingston SpA, Giancarlo Celani, said, “With the Lufthansa Technik Group, we are guaranteed a top quality product. We are pleased to be one of the first customers in the new, modern hangars of Lufthansa Technik Malta.” Louis Giordimaina, CEO of Lufthansa Technik Malta, added, “We really appreciate the fact that Livingston has chosen our new operation here in Malta for its Airbus A330 C-checks. This means we are now able to welcome the first customer outside Lufthansa to our new widebody hangars.”
It was only at the beginning of April that Lufthansa Technik Malta opened its new 35,000 square meter hangar complex, thus expanding its overhaul portfolio to long-haul aircraft from the Airbus A330/A340 family.
