Sabre and Lufthansa have signed a new four year global agreement, providing agencies and corporations around the world with continued access to the airline’s full content via the Sabre global distribution system (GDS).
Sabre y Lufthansa han firmado un nuevo acuerdo global de cuatro años en el que ofrecerán a las agencias de viajes y otras empresas alrededor del mundo, un acceso continuo de toda la información relativa a la aerolínea a través de los sistemas de distribución global (GDS) de Sabre.
Chief Marketing Officer for Sabre Travel Network, Greg Webb said, “Our deal gives agencies and corporations something they really need in this current economic climate – guaranteed certainty and continued long-term access to full content from Lufthansa via the efficient GDS channel. This important deal concludes intense negotiations to get the very best deal for our agency and corporate customers while balancing the needs of airlines in today’s challenging economy.”
The agreement also reinforces the partnership between Lufthansa and the Sabre GDS.
Senior Vice President, Sales Germany, Global Key Accounting of Lufthansa Passenger Airlines, Josef Bogdanski said, "Our announcement with Sabre gives agencies efficient access to all of our fares and inventory while balancing our needs in today’s current economy. This deal proves value in our multi-channel strategy and the partnership with Sabre, and its agency and corporate customers around the world.”
Providing long-term access to Lufthansa’s Preferred Fares Program has been a key objective of Sabre as part of its ongoing commitment to providing balanced solutions for the industry.
The new agreement between Sabre and Lufthansa takes effect from 01-Jul-09.
