Lufthansa Technik Switzerland VIP cabin interior facility

Within only four months the new 3,500 square meters building has been built up at the Basel site. Chief Executive Officer of Lufthansa Technik Switzerland Rainer Lindau, explained "Thanks to the excellent support of the local building companies we were able to meet the project’s ambitious time frameat the formal opening ceremony on Monday.
 
The new VIP Cabin Services team will consist of 30 highly-qualified technicians. Many of them have already been trained on the job at Lufthansa Technik in Hamburg.
 
In addition, specialized staff has been recruited for the cabin interior work. Delicate inlays and embroideries require utmost craftsmanship. The team can rely on state-of-the-art equipment and the entire knowledge of the Lufthansa Technik Group. Important interfaces to Hamburg have been established especially in the field of Cabin Design, Engineering and Inflight Entertainment System.
 
Lufthansa Technik Switzerland stands out for its unique range of technical services, which allows the customer to have any maintenance work done conveniently at one single location. Being a full service provider, the company offers heavy and line maintenance, engine and component services as well as cabin refurbishments and modifications.
 
Apart from the recently extended portfolio for narrowbody VIP and executive jets Lufthansa Technik Switzerland continues with the support of commercial aircraft types such as AVRO RJ, BAe 146, Embraer 135/145 as well as the Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 families.
 
„Our flexibility, highly-skilled staff and support from the Lufthansa Technik network guarantees that our customers receive a premium product in Basel,“ Lindau points out. With the launch of the new VIP cabin interior shop Lufthansa Technik Switzerland has now reached the final stage of becoming Lufthansa Technik’s Competence Center for narrowbody VIP and executive jets.
