The LSG Lufthansa Service Holding AG (LSG Holding) Supervisory Board has appointed Jens Theuerkorn to be the company's Chief Financial Officer (CFO) effective 01-Jul-09. LSG Holding is the parent company of LSG Sky Chefs, the world's largest airline catering provider. At the same time the company announced that Thomas Nagel, Chief Operating Officer, will go into retirement by the end of Sep-2009.

Jens Theuerkorn holds a graduate degree in economics and has extensive experience in the areas of Controlling, Accounting and Finance. After his studies his career progressed over 15 years at the Robert Bosch Group in Germany and abroad. During the following two years he held the position of Managing Director at automotive supplier Brose and joined Knorr-Bremse in 2000 as a Member of the Executive Board responsible for Controlling, Organization, Information Management, Procurement and Restructuring.

Thomas Nagel has been a Member of the LSG Holding Executive Board since Oct-2005 and holds responsibility for LSG Sky Chefs' airline catering activities on all continents except North America, and for the company's international airline lounges. After his German State Bar Examination he joined the Lufthansa Group in May-1977. During his career he has held various management positions in the areas of Product Management, Area Management, Ground Services and Hub Management.

At LSG Holding, Jens Theuerkorn will assume responsibility for the Controlling, Accounting, Mergers und Acquisitions and IT functions, which until his start date will continue to report to CEO Walter Gehl. This separation of responsibilities will allow the CEO to concentrate on the further strategic development of the company and will enable the CFO to fully focus on the increasingly important financial aspects of the operation.

The future setup of Board responsibilities after Thomas Nagel's departure will be announced as soon as the pertaining decisions have been made.
