AWAS delivers first Boeing 737-700 to Moskovia Airlines

Dublin based lessor, AWAS, has delivered a Boeing 737-700 aircraft to Moskovia Airlines of Russia.
Moskovia is a new customer for AWAS and this is the first western-bulit aircraft to be delivered to Moskovia ahead of its growth plans to expand its market share across the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and Europe. Moskovia plan to expand into the passenger market with scheduled and charter services from Moscow.
CEO of Moskovia Airlines Mikhail Alekseev announced “This Boeing 737-700 aircraft marks the beginning of our strategy to replace the older aircraft in the fleet with newer, more-economical aircraft. AWAS has been instrumental in assisting with this strategy and we look forward to building on this new relationship”
Head of Sales at AWAS Peter Ellison, announced“We continue to see many opportunities as airlines operating older equipment seek to upgrade to more economic aircraft. Our diversified portfolio, including the attractive pipeline of next-generation aircraft from Airbus and Boeing means that we can successfully satisfy demand across a broad spectrum of aircraft generations.”
