The 10th Anniversary of Vladivostok
05-Jun-2009 |
The very same day 10 years before, on 30-May-1999, Vladivostok Air made its first passenger flight on Tu-154M from Vladivostok to Moscow with a stop in Abakan.
Since that time Vladivostok Air has completely renewed its aircraft fleet for this route to gradually shift from the domestic made Tu-154M to the new generation aircrafts of Tu-204-300 type and European longhaul Airbus А330. Vladivostok Air is proud of having grown from a regional scale carrier to the largest airline in the Far East and East Siberia with the only wide-bodied A330-300 of special configuration in Russia. By 2010 Vladivostok Air plans to acquire two more aircrafts of this type.
Like 10 years ago, on the 9th of June this year Vladivostok Air will first use its new A330 with 327 passenger seats for Vladivostok — Moscow flight. Due to lower fuel consumption and operation expenses required by the new aircraft the airline will be able to offer its passengers better ticket prices.
Under the governmental program Vladivostok Air provides discounted subsidized rates for young people in the age below 23 inclusive and pensioners in the age over 60 for Vladivostok — Moscow flights (return fare, all taxes and fees included, is 13,000 rubles). The airline also grants children discounts and special fares for families and groups.
Moreover, for the convenience of passengers departure time of Vladivostok — Moscow (Vnukovo) flight XF 459 has been changed. The flight use to take off at 02:45 pm, however in the summer season passengers can take the flight as early as at 11:45 in the morning to arrive in Moscow at 02:30 pm local time. The return Moscow (Vnukovo) — Vladivostok flight XF 460 will also take off earlier. Departure time is 05:20 pm, arrival in Vladivostok at 09:00 am (next day). A330 will perform the flight daily except for Wednesday.
Please be reminded that especially for passengers of Moscow flights Vladivostok Air has arranged free transfer by Express Vnukovo train from Vnukovo Airport to Kievsky Railway Station and back.
