Next winter, Finnair Leisure flights will fly nonstop to Phuket, Thailand with Finnair's new Airbus A330 wide-bodied aircraft. The new wide-bodied aircraft are part of Finnair's extensive long-haul traffic fleet modernisation.
On the Phuket flights, passengers will travel more comfortably than ever before in quality, spacious Comfort Class and in superior Economy Class.
Finnair Leisure flights' Sales Manager Heidi Niemenlehto-Järvinen said, "Leisure flights' customers will now be able for the first time to enjoy seat comfort corresponding to the Business Class of Finnair's scheduled flights.”
The new generation lie-flat seats of Leisure flights Comfort Class, with their generous seating space and leg room, are located in the front part of the aircraft. In Comfort Class, all drinks that accompany food, for example wine, beer and soft drinks, are included in the ticket price.
Economy Class has spacious, ergonomically designed seats, which have an adjustable neck support. During the flight, passengers will be served two hot meals with tea or coffee, free of charge.
All customers will have at their disposal a personal entertainment system, offering a selection of dozens of films, children's programmes, TV series and games as well as music for every taste. In Comfort Class, use of the entertainment system is included in the price; in Economy Class the system can be used for an additional fee.
"Passenger comfort will also be improved by the fact that stopovers will no longer be needed and the aircraft will fly to Phuket direct from Helsinki, for the first time on Finnair's own aircraft."
Finnair Leisure flights to Phuket will operate four times a week from 06-Nov-2009. On the flights, customers will be served by expert Finnair crews.
Phuket holidays with nonstop flights on Finnair's wide-bodied aircraft are sold by Aurinkomatkat-Suntours and Lomamatkat.
