Organisational change in commercial passenger division
Austrian Airlines is strengthening sales by detaching from the network and creating a separate division. For this purpose, the Commercial Passenger division of Austrian Airlines Group will be reorganised completely from September 1st, 2009:

 

Christina Debbah (43) will take over as Head of the future sales organisation “Global Sales & Distribution” at Austrian Airlines Group. Christina Debbah has already been working in the sales division at Austrian Airlines for ten years, holding positions such as Head of Sales for Business Travel Austria and Area Manager of Intercontinental, and brings extensive expertise into this division. Up until this moment, she was Director of “Sales Strategy & Development” at the company.

In the new division, “Global Sales & Distribution”, the sales activities in Austria and abroad will be more focussed and more precisely regulated. In order to create leaner and more efficient structures, the sales activities will in future be grouped in the divisions “Sales Austria” for Austria and “Sales Core Markets” for the main markets. The tasks of the “Sales Coordination & Development” division include the efficient control of distribution in the individual markets and areas. Direct selling by Austrian Airlines and training are brought together in the “Direct Sales & Sales Services” division. In the course of restructuring, Christina Debbah will also provisionally be responsible for sales for the market in Austria.
