Finnair customers departing from Stockholm may now check in to their flight
already at the Central Railway Station before taking the Arlanda Express train to Stockholm-Arlanda Airport.
The check-in kiosks are situated in the departure hall of the Arlanda Express train at the railway station for a test period of at least six months. Customers can save time and ensure a smoother departure by using the check-in kiosks, which also print out boarding cards and baggage tags. The baggage can then be left at the Baggage Drop desk before customers proceed to the security control at the airport. Check-in can be completed at the kiosk also when the journey includes a connecting flight from Helsinki. The Arlanda Express train runs between the railway station and the airport non-stop in only 20 minutes. It is the fastest and most environmentally friendly way of travelling between the city and the airport. Two adults travel together for only SEK 250 during the entire summer. As always, up to four children aged 0-17 can follow for free. Finnair flies between Helsinki and Stockholm seven times daily. (c) Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation. Date posted: 31-Jul-09 |
