With easyJet twelve times a week from Dusseldorf to Basle; attractive connection for business travelers and tourists
The British airline easyJet will be connecting Dusseldorf and Basle twelve times per week from 2 November. The airplanes type Airbus A319 will be taking off from Dusseldorf from Monday to Friday in the morning at 8.45 a.m. and in the night at 9.20 p.m., Saturdays at 1.00 p.m. and Sundays on 9.20 p.m. The flight time is about one hour 20 minutes.

"We are pleased to welcome another major airline in the federal state's capital. The new budget flight offer to Basle is a high-quality Metropolis connection with a huge potential," stresses Christoph Blume, CEO of the airport management. "The destination is interesting for both business travelers as well as tourists." The so-called EuroAirport "Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg" is favorably situated in terms of geography at the borders of the three countries Switzerland, France and Germany.

Due to its central location in the Rhine Valley, Basle is a traditional traffic junction and Switzerland's most dynamic economic region. Noted multinational companies are represented here. The so-called Life Sciences contribute the lion's share value added in the region of Basle. Further important sectors are the chemical industry, business finance and the insurance industry as well as logistics and the arts & crafts industry.

Tradition-conscious, open-minded and adventurous - tourists, too, have plenty to discover in Basle. For instance, there are almost 40 museums in the Swiss metropolis amongst which visitors may choose. Basle has many green belts, offers an extensive range of leisure time activities, a varied catering scene as well as unlimited opportunities for shopping. But also enthusiasts of the opera, ballet and drama will be fully satisfied here. Modern buildings of renowned international architects create an exciting contrast against Basle's romantic old town.
