Austrian plane makes emergency landing at Helsinki-Vantaa

An aircraft operated by Austrian Airlines made an emergency medical landing at Helsinki-Vantaa on Wednesday, 5 August 2009 at 2:40 p.m., due to a passenger who suffered a medical attack. The aircraft was en route from Tokyo to Vienna.
There was a delay of around half an hour in the ambulance reaching the aircraft. The passenger passed away before she was reached by the medical personnel. An immediate investigation has begun into the reasons for the delay and what took place.
