TAP broke Passenger Record on August 2
On Friday 31 July TAP transported a total of 34,931 passengers, a figure that represents an absolute record in passengers transported by the Company on a single day. However, this number was surpassed this Sunday, August 2 with a total of 35,215 reaching an occupancy rate on this day of 84.7%.

The final days of July and the first of August normally correspond to the period of heaviest passenger traffic in Portugal influenced by the start of the busiest vacation period in Europe.

All sectors of the Company network performed well in particular Africa, Europe and Brazil highlighting the positive contribution made by the new routes from Lisbon to Moscow, Warsaw and Helsinki inaugurated by TAP this last month of June.

With improved levels of passenger traffic in recent weeks TAP hit a number of passengers at the end of July practically equal to that of July 2008 (-0.3%) with July the best month in 2009 so far.
