Air Valid broadcasts the 1st independent ranking of low cost airlines departing from France. This ranking is based on opinions and certified ratings from passengers on the feeling of seat comfort during a flight. This ranking has been calculated on the basis of opinions and reviews filed by passengers on a flight route and flight number of an airline.

From 01-Sep-2008 to 01-Sep-2009, Air Valid has collected up to

1577 reviews on 37 low cost airlines from web surfers who have actually made a trip on the airline noted. Only airlines who have obtained more than 100 reviews were taken into account for this ranking.

From 01-Sep-2008 to 01-Sep-2009, 165 regular airlines have collected a total of 92,920 reviews with an average score of 13.80 for the comfort of seats on board in economic class.

"Alongside with the fact that meals and in-flight entertainment can be either charge or free, comfortable seating is a major criterion in the choice of the passenger according to our survey. Even during this period of economic recession, the consumer is really demanding on the feeling of comfort and the services provided on board an airline "says Air Valid.

Air Valid has developed a form and a specific know-how to collect opinions from web surfers who have indeed made a trip on board an airline. The gathering of opinions is done by sending an email to the passenger from the travel agency that allows the customer to leave a review on a trip that has just been done.

"To conclude, in reference to our investigation, it is clear that even if the price is the determining factor for the passenger in his choice, passengers traveling for leisure are less alert and therefore more critical than those traveling for business. The latters expect the best seat comfort onboard available at the best price possible.

It is undeniable that the low cost carriers will invest in services and entertainment that flatter the business passengers, like in-flight WIFI to compete with regular airlines and at the same time increase the feeling of comfort” says Air valid that identifies each services and entertainment proposed onboard of each airlines.
