BA: early bag check-in extended at Gatwick

Previously customers were able to check in bags if their flight departed before 3.15pm the next day.

From the start of the winter schedule on Sunday (October 25), this service will be extended to allow passengers to check in luggage between 4pm and 10pm for all British Airways flights scheduled to depart the following day.

This service has already proved very popular and the extension of the bag drop hours will be welcomed by passengers who can now turn up at the airport on the day of departure and go straight to the departure lounge.

There are no other changes to the current process and customers checking in bags for the following day should continue to drop their bags at the appropriate Fast Bag Drop desk in Zone D.

This enhancement to the British Airways' service comes as a direct result of co-operation and teamwork across the ground operations team at Gatwick.
