In particular, all the aircrafts of “AeroSvit” and “Ukraine International Airlines”, operating domestic, as well as international flights, are fully equipped with first-aid sets, thermometers, rubber gloves for flight-attendants and flu masks for cabin crew and passengers. The flight attendants have passed a special training on revealing the passengers with the symptoms of the disease and constantly perform the inspection over the state of health of passengers. All the passengers, that suffer from a slight indisposition, are recommended to immediately contact a flight-attendant, who would take all necessary measures to prevent contagion on board and would pass the passenger to the doctor of quarantine station of the airport on arrival. The crews are informed about the necessity to report to the flight service of the airport in advance about all the potential cases of infection on board. Boeing aircrafts, that form the basis of «AeroSvit” and “Ukraine International” fleet, are marked with high level of safety and comfort. Systems of air filtration on board, equipped with the highly efficient HEPA filters, that are also used in hospitals for air filtration, are one of the most essential factors of contagion prevention on board. The filters capture about 99% of all particles, including germs, microbes and viruses, and eliminate their circulation in cabin. In “Borispol” airport there are all the necessary resources and qualified personnel to safeguard the protection measures against infection due to adverse epidemiologic situation in . In accordance with the sanitary rules, the officers at the quarantine station regularly perform the whole complex of epidemiology measures during passenger screening. The crews also pass regular health checks and briefing at the airport, passenger screening, sanitary inspection on catering utilization were made more severe, as well as customs and veterinary control. In the airport there are sufficient provisions of disinfectant solution for medical stations, terminals, passenger buses, jet bridges; one-use thermometers; rubber carpets that protect against infection from shoes. The Ukrainian carriers already have experience in preventing the expansion of respiratory diseases. Thus, due to joint actions of “AeroSvit”, “Ukraine International” and International Airport “Boryspol”, some time ago “bird flu” H5N1 did not penetrate through “air gateway” to .
