Lufthansa Technik: Cooperation with Air Transat extended

Lufthansa Technik AG and Air Transat have further strengthened their long-lasting cooperation regarding engine services for the CF6-80C2 turbofans powering the Airbus A310-fleet of the Canadian charter airline. According to the recently signed contract extension Lufthansa Technik will provide Air Transat with a Total Engine Support TES® for three additional years.

Within the scope of its Total Engine Support TES® product Lufthansa Technik takes care of the complete spectrum of services for Air Transat’s engines, from maintenance, repair and overhaul to engineering and logistics services as well as spare engine coverage if necessary.

The contract extension comes into effect immediately. All additional 14 overhauls included in the agreement will be carried out in Lufthansa Technik’s engine overhaul center in Hamburg; the first engines are scheduled for March 2010.
