Finnair unveils Mika Vehviläinen as new CEO

Vehviläinen comes from Nokia Siemens Networks where he has served most recently as COO. He joined Nokia in 1991, and has held several management positions in sales and marketing, strategy and business development of Nokia’s product businesses in Asia, North America, and Europe. Finnair's current President & CEO Jukka Hienonen will leave his post at the end of January 2010. "Finnair has all that it takes to emerge from the hard times as a winner, but this will require goal-directed development of the business practices," said Vehviläinen as the news was announced.
