Tags :Continental Europe, EgyptAir EGYPTAIR and Brussels Airlines have signed an agreement to offer codeshare flights, which would expand the international and domestic destinations and enhance the frequent flyer benefits offered to customers of both carriers. Beginning on the 12th of January 2010, the first phase of the codeshare agreement will allow Brussels Airlines to place its code on EGYPTAIR flights linking Brussels with Cairo and Luxor. Customers of both carriers will be able to acquire and redeem miles on both frequent flyer programs. Being the latest member to join Star Alliance, Brussels airlines customers will enjoy the benefits of through check-in at Cairo’s Terminal 3, the newest gateway to the Middle East and Africa. “We are excited to link Brussels Airlines’ strong network with our European services,” says Mr. Hussien Massoud, Chairman and CEO of EGYPTAIR Holding Company. “There will be additional options that give our customers more ways to reach regions across the Northern Europe and Africa through linking the two hubs of Brussels and Cairo” “Egypt, one of the most popular holiday destinations in the Belgian leisure market, was so far lacking in the network of Brussels Airlines”, says Brussels Airlines Executive Vice President Network Development Erik Follet. “Thanks to this partnership with EGYPTAIR we can now offer a perfect travel solution that also suits the needs of the increasing number of business travelers.
