Rainer Hiltebrand, COO, changes to Swiss
After more than seven successful years as Chief Operations Officer, Rainer Hiltebrand will be leaving Flughafen Zürich AG to go back to the airline industry. As from May 2010 he will assume the position as Chief Operating Officer at Swiss International Air Lines.

Rainer Hiltebrand has been with Flughafen Zürich AG since 2002. He has successfully built up the then newly created division Operations, based on his profound aviation expertise and with a lot of commitment. In addition to his function as responsible for the airport operation, he was also deputy CEO. He was responsible for building up the airport steering, the airport wide coordination and steering body.

As a result, punctuality at Zurich Airport has significantly improved. Many other milestones having had a positive impact on Zurich Airport were implemented under his lead. Since 2008, Rainer Hiltebrand has been responsible for the airport project in Bangalore in southern India.

Both, the Board of Directors and the colleagues from management, regret Rainer Hiltebrand's decision to leave the company in March 2010 and thank him for his excellent achievements. The recruitment process for a successor has been initiated.
