Four years Düsseldorf - Atlanta: Successful Delta Air Lines non-stop connection now available daily
Anniversary at the airport of Düsseldorf: Four years ago Delta Air Lines started their direct flight between North Rhine-Westphalia's capital and Atlanta, the capital of the US-American State of Georgia. Some 400,000 passengers used this offer since the first flight on 4 April 2006.

"We are very pleased about the successful development of the route. Delta Air Lines is a very important and close partner for us, says Christoph Blume, CEO of the airport management. Atlanta's airport is important in two respects: as a direct destination as well as one of the most important hubs in international air traffic. Blume adds: "This non-stop connection plays a very significant role for the North Rhine- Westphalian economy, too. It strengthens existing relations between US-American and German companies and smoothes the way for new trade links and new potential business.Â

Due to the heavy demand Delta Air Lines increased the frequency by two weekly fligths as of the beginning of the Summer Flight Plan, in this way making it a daily connection. As a result travelers have the chance to head for the United States from Düsseldorf independently of the weekday. For passengers from Europe a multitude of possible onward flights opens up once they have arrived in Atlanta. There, Atlanta offers connections to another 230 destinations in the US, Latin America and the Caribbean. Especially good connections are available to Florida and to the South-East, but also to California and to the west coast of the United States.

An aircraft type Boeing 767-300 is put on for non-stop fligths between Düsseldorf and Atlanta. Flight number DL 25 departs Düsseldorf at 9.20 am every morning. Passengers enjoy comfortable leather reclining seats with a distance of 152 centimeters in the repeatedly awarded BusinessElite class, newly created menus by celebrity chef Michelle Bernstein as well as on-demand entertainment right at their seat. The Economy class, too, has a leather trim and a new menu.
