Kingfisher Airlines inks comprehensive frequent flyer agreement with British Airways
Kingfisher Airlines, India’s only 5 star airline rated by Skytrax, today announced that it has signed a comprehensive frequent flyer agreement with British Airways.

As a result of this agreement which covers the entire route network of both airlines, frequent flyers of Kingfisher Airlines will be able to earn points even when they fly on British Airways flights anywhere in the world and similarly, frequent flyers of British Airways will be able to earn points when they fly on any Kingfisher Airlines flight.

More importantly, frequent flyers of Kingfisher Airlines will now be able to redeem their accumulated King Miles to undertake travel on a British Airways flight anywhere in the world. The agreement comes into effect from December 17, 2010

Commenting on this new initiative, Mr. Manoj Chacko, Executive Vice President-Commercial, Kingfisher Airlines Limited said, “I am delighted that we have entered into this system-wide Frequent Flyer Programme agreement with British Airways. This is yet another step towards strengthening the strong bilateral ties between the two airlines. Besides benefitting individual King Club members, this arrangement will especially benefit companies whose executives travel frequently. Frequent flyers from the corporate sector will now be able to accumulate frequent flyer points in one single currency, namely King Miles and have the flexibility of being able to redeem their accumulated King Miles for any flight of British Airways anywhere in the world. British Airways’ frequent flyers will be able to enjoy similar reciprocal benefits on the Kingfisher Airlines route network”.

Illustrative Examples:

· A King Club member who wishes to fly from Mumbai to Chicago can now fly from Mumbai to London on a Kingfisher Airlines flight and then take a British Airways flight from London to Chicago. The member will earn King Miles for the entire journey from Mumbai to Chicago.

· A King Club member flies from Mumbai to London on Kingfisher Airlines and after a few days of stay in London, purchases a British Airways ticket to fly from London to Rio De Janeiro and back. This member will earn King Miles for these flights undertaken with British Airways too.

· A British Airways frequent flyer who wishes to fly from Birmingham to Dharamsala can now fly Birmingham-New Delhi on British Airways and from New Delhi to Dharamsala fly on Kingfisher Airlines and earn miles for the entire journey in their British Airways frequent flyer account.

· A King Club member who wishes to fly from Mumbai to Madrid can get a free redemption ticket against accumulated King Miles and fly from Mumbai to London with Kingfisher Airways and from London to Madrid on British Airways.
