Icelandair to launch inaugural flight from Toronto Pearson International Airport
Icelandair announced plans to launch its first inaugural flight from Toronto Pearson International Airport on 02-May-08. With up to five flights weekly, this service marks the extension of Icelandair's service into Canada under the Open Skies agreement between the Canadian Government and Iceland.

 

Dignitaries such as the Honourable Vic Toews, President of the Treasury Board, Dr Kuldip Kular, MPP for Ontario, and Markus Orn Antonsson, Icelandic Ambassador to Canada, among others, will be in attendance at the inaugural launch.
 
Icelandair offers service to Iceland from Boston, New York-JFK, Minneapolis/St Paul (seasonal), Orlando Sanford, Halifax and Toronto, commencing 02-May-08.
 
Connections through Icelandair's hub in Reykjavik are available to more than 20 destinations in Scandinavia, Great Britain and Continental Europe.
