Ryanair Calls on ENAV to Compensate Passengers for Repeated Delays and Cancellations

Tags :Continental Europe, Ryanair

Ryanair has called on ENAV, Italy’s Air Traffic Control Authority to compensate passengers affected by the latest ATC strike in Italy. Ryanair stated that, ENAV is on strike for the eighth time in 18 months and continues to inflict cancellations and delays on hundreds of thousands of Italian passengers/visitors without any sanction whatsoever. So far, Ryanair has been forced to cancel 20 flights to/from Italy.

According to Ryanair, instead of shutting down Italy’s main international airports once every two months, ENAV must start taking responsibility for its own action and failure by paying compensation to passengers whose flights are delayed or cancelled as a result of these repeated strikes.

Meanwhile, Ryanair has published ENAV’s telephone number and address and invites any passenger disrupted by the latest strike action to seek reimbursement of their expenses.
